The BOM list of Apple Vision Pro head display priced at $3499 has been exposed, with a material cost of $1509
On June 7th, it was announced that Apple's first AR head display Vision Pro has been released, priced at $3499, which is quite expensive compared to other similar products on sale. So what is its material cost?
The bill of materials (BOM) of Vision Pro has been published on the Internet. The content shows that Taiwanese manufacturers are outstanding in the field of optics, including three manufacturers, namely, Daliguang, Yangmingguang and Yujingguang. Mainland manufacturers have gained advantages in modules, mechanism parts, batteries and OEM assembly, while American, Japanese and Korean manufacturers have taken the lead in display, advanced chips and other fields.
The list shows that the material cost of Vision Pro is approximately $1509. Among them, two internal screens account for $700, which is the highest cost component supplied by Sony; Secondly, the assembly fee is $130, exclusively owned by mainland manufacturer Lixun Precision; The M2 processor costs $120 and is manufactured by TSMC.
In terms of quantity, the BOM list shows that there are about six suppliers of Vision Pro in Taiwan, seven in mainland China, three in Korean and Japanese manufacturers, and two in the United States, excluding Apple.
Of course, the BOM list only shows the material cost of Vision Pro, while design, research and development expenses are not included. Perhaps the latter is the main one.
