Apple's first fanless laptop, the MacBook 8 years ago, was listed as an outdated product
According to Apple's internal memo, on June 30th, Apple will list the first generation MacBook as an outdated product, which means it cannot obtain repair and after-sales service from Apple retail stores and authorized service providers, and product spare parts are no longer available.
This MacBook was released in 2015 and has been in production for 8 years now. The product was discontinued in 2016, so the actual impact on users is not significant.
The first generation MacBook was equipped with an Intel Core M processor, dual core 1.8GHz, integrated core display, 8GB of memory and 256GB of memory, priced from $1299- yes, the Apple laptop 8 years ago still has 8+256GB of storage, just like high-end products today.
