Apple CarPlay integrates SharePlay: passengers can share and control music in the car
On June 7th, Apple announced in its WWDC 2023 opening speech that it would integrate a new SharePlay service for CarPlay during the iOS 17 segment, making it easier for other passengers in the car to share playlists.
Apple will launch Collaborative Playlists in the Apple Music app, allowing passengers to add their favorite songs to the shared playlist and directly control the music playback on the car's center console on their device.
Apple stated that this feature does not require an Apple Music subscription and will be launched through an update later this year, but the official release date has not been announced yet.
