Apple launches a 15 inch MacBook Air laptop, starting at $1299
On June 6th, Apple CEO Tim Cook launched a 15 inch MacBook Air laptop at today's WWDC 2023 Developers Conference, starting with "Code Out a New World".
Apple introduced the 15 inch MacBook Air laptop less than 5 minutes into WWDC 2023, with a thickness of 11.5 millimeters and a weight of over 3 pounds. The official dubbed it the world's thinnest 15 inch laptop.
This 15 inch MacBook Air comes in four colors including Midnight Black and Starlight, supports MagSafe chargers, and is equipped with Thunderbolt ports.
The highlight of the 15 inch MacBook Air screen is that the border thickness is only 5 millimeters.
In terms of performance, the new MacBook Air is equipped with an Apple Silicon M2 chip, which is 12 times faster than the Intel chip version and has a battery life of 18 hours.
Apple stated that compared to mainstream 15 inch laptops (with no specific model specified), the performance has been improved by two times, the peak screen brightness has been doubled, and the battery life has been increased by 50%.
Apple stated that the new model starts at $1299 and will be available for sale next week. In addition, Apple has adjusted other models and the 13 inch MacBook Air equipped with the M2 now starts at $1099.
